"Nervous Exhaustion" is Released 10 Days Early
Good morning, friends.
After months (this iteration) or years (the project as a whole), depending on how you want to look at it, the hardcover edition of Nervous Exhaustion is available for purchase. For those of you who have already pre-ordered the e-book, that will be delivered to your devices one week earlier than expected, June 23, 2024.
Yesterday I uploaded my final copy for print and distribution. It didn’t have to be my final copy. I’m sure there’s one more “may” I could have turned into a “perhaps”. But I felt as good as I was going to feel after “The Final Edit,” so it was finally time to do the last upload.
My next order of business was to order Author Copies for some local bookstores that have graciously decided to carry the book. That’s when I noticed a slight delay in printing and shipping the hardcover. Instantly having panic attacks about July 1 rolling around and the delays being double, triple, or worse than the present 5-day wait, I decided to open up sales immediately, just to be safe.
Then, since Prime shipping was less than 5 days away, I moved up the Kindle version so it would arrive on or before the physical copies started landing on doorsteps.
It’s been a memorable journey, and in many ways, that journey is only beginning. I’m filled with anticipation for the discussions Nervous Exhaustion might spark, no matter how small. I'm hopeful that it might touch some lives as deeply as it has touched mine.
Thank you, again, for following this Substack
